Used Genmark Robot: Controller & Acceptance Checklist

For a used Genmark robot purchase, request the robot model and serial number before evaluating the offer. Ask the seller to identify the controller, end effector, cables and software included, then have your integration engineer review the complete package.

Match the offered robot to your application

• Mechanical identity: Request nameplate photos, assembly numbers, mounting drawings and the offered end-effector details.
• Handling requirement: State the substrate format, intended stations and required motion sequence. Ask for the applicable manufacturer's operating envelope and load limits.
• Controls: Record controller model, firmware/software version, communication interface and cable part numbers. Request documentation for the proposed combination.
• Installation scope: Identify any teach pendant, fixtures, licenses, backups or integration work included in the quote.

Require written review of substitutions, including a different controller or end effector. Do not treat a generic “Genmark robot” label as approval for your installed tool.

Acceptance test to agree with the seller

Have your engineer define a handling test using representative test material and the intended station geometry. Set the sequence, repetitions, measurement method and acceptable positioning results before the test.

Request a dated report tied to the robot and controller serial numbers. Include homing, transfers, alarm history and the applicable safety-function checks in the agreed procedure. Ask the seller to record unsuccessful cycles and interventions, not just provide a short successful-motion video.

Request service and calibration records with the work scope, replaced parts and test equipment used. Leave acceptance thresholds open until they have been approved for your application.

RFQ and return terms

Send the exact robot identification, target tool details and required accessories. Ask for an itemized quote covering condition, testing, packing, delivery and any integration support. Agree on the remedy if the delivered configuration differs from the inspected package.

Is the controller included? Require the controller model and serial number on the quote, or an explicit exclusion.

Is a motion video sufficient? Request the agreed test report and configuration records as purchase conditions, alongside any video.
